Why chat games hit different on Kick

Kick channels live and die by chat energy. The platform's culture rewards streams where the room is doing something together, not just watching — and a live tier-list game is exactly that. You rank items on stream; your chat predicts every placement; the leaderboard crowns the viewer who knows your taste best. It's a show format you can rerun weekly with a new list every time: games, snacks, clips, viewers' own submissions.

Third-party tooling for Kick is younger than Twitch's bot ecosystem, which is actually good news here: you don't need any of it. Because TierContest reads your channel's public chat directly, the setup on Kick is identical to Twitch — type your channel name, go live.

What viewers experience

• A tier-list item appears on stream with a countdown — say, a game cover or a snack photo.
• They type the tier they predict you'll pick — just the letter, "S", "A", "B" — straight into Kick chat. Changed their mind? The last vote before the lock counts.
• You place the item. Matching voters earn points on the spot, and the live leaderboard reshuffles on stream under their Kick usernames.
• At the end, a Session Champions screen crowns the podium — a natural clip moment.

Nobody registers anywhere, nobody installs anything, and nobody leaves your stream to vote on some other website. If they can type in your chat, they're playing.

Setting it up (about 5 minutes)

1. Build your tier list. Use the TierContest drag-and-drop editor to add items with images and name your tiers (S, A, B, C…) before you go live.
2. Enter your Kick channel name. Type your Kick channel name into TierContest. It connects to your channel’s public chat — no bot account, no password, no account linking.
3. Go live and open the first round. Each tier-list item becomes a round with a countdown timer, shown on stream through OBS overlays or a window capture.
4. Viewers vote in Kick chat. Viewers type the tier letter they predict you will choose — "S", "A", "B" — as a normal Kick chat message. Last vote before the lock counts.
5. Place the item and watch the leaderboard. You place the item into a tier; viewers who matched you earn points and the session leaderboard updates in real time on stream.

One Kick-specific note: TierContest sign-in uses Google, Discord, or Twitch — there's no "log in with Kick" step, and none is needed. Your Kick channel is connected by name only, so TierContest never touches your Kick credentials.

Scale, caps, and cost

Vote tallies are sharded server-side to survive a raid-sized influx, so the on-stream numbers keep moving even when chat is scrolling too fast to read. Pricing is the same on Kick as everywhere else: free for unlimited sessions with up to 500 unique voters per session, and the Creator plan at $12/month (or $99/year) for up to 20,000 voters plus session analytics.
